General Assembly

The General Assembly is the supreme decision-making body of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO), where all member cities are represented.


It is convened every two years in the location of one of its members and serves as a vital forum where mayors and senior policymakers from member cities come together to identify emerging tourism priorities, exchange strategic perspectives, and explore the future of tourism across the region.

The 12th TPO General Assembly will be held from September 3 to 6, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, hosted by Ho Chi Minh City in cooperation with the TPO Secretariat.


Under the theme of “Shaping the Future of Urban Tourism through Open Collaboration and Innovation,” this year’s Assembly will provide a valuable opportunity for city leaders and tourism experts to:


Address key challenges and
emerging trends in the tourism sector
Share successful practices and visionary strategies
Explore innovative and sustainable
pathways for urban tourism development
